SYNOPTIC SITUATION
A high near New Zealand extends a ridge over the Queensland east coast. A trough
is expected to move over southern Queensland waters this evening and early
Monday. Another high will move into southeastern Australia late Monday,
extending a ridge along the east coast of Queensland.

FORECAST FOR MORETON BAY
Sunday until midnight: Wind: N/NW 15/20 knots. Winds tending W/NW 10/15 knots
during the afternoon and W/SW 10/15 knots in the evening. Sea: 0.9 metres,
abating to 0.7 metres in the afternoon. Rain areas, increasing during the
afternoon and evening with possible isolated thunderstorms.
Monday: Wind: SW 10/15 knots, tending SE/NE 10/15 knots during the afternoon.
Sea: 0.7 metres. Rain areas clearing during the day.
Tuesday: Wind: S/SW 5/10 knots, tending SE/NE 10/15 knots during the afternoon.

DOUBLE ISLAND POINT TO POINT DANGER
Sunday until midnight: Wind: N/NW 15/20 knots, reaching 20/25 knots offshore
south of Cape Moreton and tending 10/15 knots inshore north of Cape Moreton. A
W/SW change 15/20 knots extending from the west during the late afternoon and
evening. Sea: 1.7 metres, reaching 2.2 metres offshore south of Cape Moreton and
1.2 metres inshore north of Cape Moreton. Rain areas, increasing during the late
afternoon and evening with possible isolated thunderstorms.
Monday: Wind: S/SW 10/15 knots, reaching 15/20 knots offshore during the
morning. Winds tending S/SE 10/15 knots during the afternoon with inshore E/SE
seabreezes 10/15 knots. Sea: 1.2 metres, reaching 1.7 metres offshore in the
morning. Rain areas, clearing from the southwest during the day.
Tuesday: Wind: SW/SE 10/15 knots, tending SE/NE 10/15 knots during the
afternoon and evening.
